ANZSPD 2020

The 20th Biennial congress of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD) will be held in glorious Hobart, Tasmania on the 6 – 7 March 2020, this coincides with Labour Day long weekend for VIC, SA, ACT and TAS giving you ample time to explore this beautiful area when the conference festivities have drawn to a close.

Our prominent international guest speakers are Dr Greg Psaltis and his wife Mary Ellen Psaltis from Washington, USA. The husband and wife team speak internationally on all aspects of paediatric dentistry as well as the secrets of improving our own well-being, both at work and at home.

Dr Psaltis is a Paediatric Dentist whose lectures are as entertaining as they are informative. Numerous members of our ANZSPD(VB) committee heard him lecture to a packed-out lecture theatre at the AAPD 71 st Annual Session in Honolulu and had to have him as part of our congress! Greg will focus on behaviour management for children, tricky parents and practice ownership.

Mary Ellen is a certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant who will continue the theme of our congress by helping us discover good foods and ‘fads’ for ourselves as well as our patients. She will also lecture together with Greg to help us improve communication with our patients, parents and improve our own quality of life.

Our keynote speakers will be supported by amazing local speakers who will create an engaging and inspiring couple of days for us.

With the harbour on our doorstep at the Grand Chancellor Hotel, superb restaurants and MONA a stone’s throw away, the scientific meeting will be accompanied by exciting social events in these beautiful surroundings.

Please join us for the ticketed Gala dinner on Friday 6 March at MONA, as well as complimentary Celebratory Drinks straight after the AGM on Saturday 7 March. We cannot wait to welcome you to the lively city of Hobart in March 2020.
